Toronto is a beautiful city with lots of amazing things to do for both young and old! We travelled with our girls of 10 and 13 and they also loved our stay in Toronto! The city was safe for us to walk around. We had a wonderful trip through the city on the Site Seeing Red hop on hop off bus!!
Also went to Niagara Falls and Canada Wonderland! Had a awesome time at both!! I had both good and mediocre meals. A road side stand cooked sausages on an open flame grill and I went there three times. I tried some Thai food at a restaurant on Yonge street but was unimpressed. The rice was very dry and had no taste. I had pulled pork with rice and salad at a road side trailer during Pride festivities. The rice was flavourful as was the pork but the salad was bland. All of the restaurants we ate at met or exceeded expectations.
There are a lot of options within walking distance.
Parking is quite expensive but walking to restaurants, shopping and entertainment is do-able. This culturally diverse city will stun you with each block. From modern exciting skyscrapers to historically intricate buildings, it's got it all.

Incredibly accessible city for walkers and transit options. Incredibly eclectic food with a friendly locale to make breaking that tourist bubble easy and lose yourself in its confines. Prime tourist attractions were clean but the rest was dirty, rubbish, a lot of homeless everywhere. Public transport was confusing with long walks to get from one place to another. Public and tourist operators were very friendly and helpful. Will be visiting again. Food reasonably priced. Way too busy and too expensive. They drive crazily and we were rear ended in our new car.
There was also rioting which included shootings and stabbings while we were trying to get to our hotel. It should have taken an hour but took 3. We were literally trapped in traffic that was not moving and people were getting out of their cars and yelling. It was terrifying for my kids! Perfect location in downtown, 30 seconds walk to Union Station from where you can take UP express to Pearson Airport, 10seconds to Air Canada Center, close to touristical attractions, shops, 20mn walk to Eaton Center.
I had the opportunity to watch playoffs on the street near the entrance. He had all the little things at then kitchen closet which would I would need to cook for myself for meals, from coconut oil to even rosemary. Coffee and tea from filter to instant. Neat and clean. Check in was lightning quick, the staff come to know you quickly and always offer a nice greeting.
The location is the best in Toronto. You are feet from the subway and right smack downtown. The room was impeccable and housekeeping incredible. The food at the bistro is top notch and super welcoming. The bar rocks. Every single employee was amazing. The value for money can't be beat.
I will never stay in a different hotel in Toronto. Marriot for life, yo! I love the location its very accessible to everything. Its very near to CN tower and Eaton center a must see in downtown Toronto. Lots of restaurants and small shops around. S the hotel is partly a jazz bar so if you don't mind hearing jazz music during most of the evening so this place is for you. The jazz music sounds doesn't bother us even if we stayed in the 1st floor, we're just grateful for the location and helpful staffs.
The Hotel is perfect for gentlemen who travel to Toronto , excellent location with walking distance to almost anything in downtown Toronto and at reasonable cost.
